Classes

At Amelia Earhart Grundschule students are taught 33 to 35 lessons a week whereas a regular school only offers 21 to 25 lessons a week.

The school year begins on the September 1st and ends on August 31st. School holidays are the same as the official Hessian school holiday dates. The summer holidays which are scheduled from July to August are the exception to this. The all-day concept leads to a surplus of lessons, which are then converted to additional holidays. However, the extension of the summer holidays does not compensate fully for the large lesson surplus.
